Terms of Trade
Welcome to Petrie Property Maintenance and Handyman (PPM). By using our services, you agree to the following Terms of Trade. Please read carefully as these terms outline the agreement between you (the Client) and us (PPM).
1. Services Provided
PPM offers property maintenance, handyman services, repairs, installations, and other related trade work. All services are conducted with professional care, following industry standards and regulations. Specific services will be detailed in individual quotes provided to the Client.
2. Quotes and Pricing
2.1 Quotes
All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Quotes will include labor, materials, and any applicable fees. If additional work is needed outside the original scope, PPM will notify the Client, and adjustments will be made accordingly.
2.2 Pricing
Prices may vary depending on the complexity of the project. Any changes in pricing will be communicated in advance.
2.3 Acceptance of Quote
By accepting a quote, the Client agrees to the terms and pricing outlined. A signed copy or written confirmation (via email or text) is required before work begins.
3. Payments
3.1 Deposit
For jobs exceeding $1,000, a deposit of 25% is required before work commences. The balance is due upon project completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.
3.2 Payment Terms
Full payment is required within 7 days of receiving the invoice. Payment can be made via bank transfer or other accepted methods outlined on the invoice.
3.3 Late Payments
Late payments may incur an interest charge of 2% per month on outstanding amounts. PPM reserves the right to pause ongoing services if payments are overdue.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
4.1 Client Cancellations
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled work date. Cancellations made within 48 hours may incur a fee equal to 10% of the total project cost.
4.2 PPM Cancellations
PPM reserves the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather or equipment issues). The Client will be informed promptly, and a new date will be arranged.
5. Variations to Work
Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be requested in writing by the Client and agreed upon by PPM. Additional charges may apply, and these will be added to the final invoice.
6. Materials and Equipment
6.1 Client-Supplied Materials
PPM is not responsible for the quality, suitability, or performance of materials supplied by the Client.
6.2 PPM-Supplied Materials
All materials supplied by PPM will be of high quality and sourced from trusted suppliers. Any material defects will be addressed per the supplier’s warranty.
7. Workmanship Guarantee
PPM stands by the quality of our work and offers a 12-month workmanship guarantee from the date of completion. This covers any defects directly related to the work performed by PPM. Materials supplied by third parties are subject to their respective warranties.
8. Liability
PPM will not be liable for:
• Damage caused by unforeseeable events or circumstances beyond our control (e.g., weather damage or natural disasters).
• Damages resulting from the use of materials supplied by the Client.
• Indirect or consequential losses.
• Damage caused by third-party contractors hired by the Client.
9. Health and Safety
PPM complies with all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Clients must ensure that the work area is free of hazards before work begins. PPM reserves the right to refuse or stop work if safety risks are identified.
10. Access to the Property
The Client is responsible for providing PPM with access to the property on the agreed dates and times. Failure to provide access or delays may result in additional charges and rescheduling.
11. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to try and resolve the matter amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute may be referred to mediation or arbitration.
12. Termination of Services
PPM reserves the right to terminate services if:
• The Client fails to comply with these terms.
• The Client fails to make payments for services rendered.
• Conditions arise that make it unsafe or impossible to continue work.
13. Privacy Policy
PPM respects your privacy and will protect your personal information. Any information collected during the provision of our services will be kept confidential and used only for communication and project management purposes.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Trade are governed by the laws of [Insert Your Region/Country]. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in this area.
